Welcome!

Our Projects

THE LIFE BAG

We wanted to create an innovation to put an end to poverty and world hunger.    We tend to think of developing countries as being the ones with poverty issues.  However, over 4.8 million Canadians are below the poverty line.  Considering we have about 35 million people living in Canada, that's a lot of people in our communities who need our help!  The Life Bag contains basic necessities for anyone living in poverty.  Delivered every month, this innovation will change many lives.  It's a backpack that contains things such as hats, clothing, hand sanitizer, sanitation items, water, energy bars, seeds so they can grow their own food, a blanket, shoes, socks, and gloves.  It's amazing how these small things can make a huge difference!

The Life Bag could help the 4.8 million Canadians who fall below the poverty line!  It's a simple innovation that could have a big impact on all of our communities.

I have taught elementary children for 26 years. I've always been a big believer that teaching is all about building relationships with my students. School tasks need to be purposeful to be meaningful. I empower my students to become environmental leaders of our school. For the last 7 years, I have taught all of my grade 5 and 6 subjects through the topic of water. Every year my students research topics such as water issues and our local water supply. We organize school assemblies, speak at local environmental meetings, etc and every year we set and meet action plan goals. I am a Nat Geo certified teacher and trainer and a couple of years ago I won the Edward Burtynsky Award for teaching excellence in environmental education.
