I am the 2014 Oregon State Teacher of the Year and a 2018 NEA Foundation Global Fellow. I will be traveling to South Africa this summer as part of that program. I work with kids who have autism and create support books to help people with autism get out into the world. These are called "Ability Guidebooks" and there are now books in 34 countries and six languages!
